Fiddleheads is a new kind of lifestyle store for kids ages 0-4 that brings together awesome gifts, gear and accessories to help make the job a little easier. Our products are super stylish but practical. They’re fun but worry-free because they’re health-safe and eco-friendly. And whenever possible, we tried to find things that were local and handmade and made of sustainable, natural ingredients.
It means they’re real. They last. And not everyone on your street will have one.
We also know that it’s hard to follow your values if you just don’t have the cash so we’ve tried to find affordable versions of popular products whenever possible. Our Clothing Exchange is the best example of this, because it allows local moms to share high-quality, barely-used kids clothing. You save money and great clothes stay out of landfill. Making good choices shouldn’t have to be hard.
But most of all … we’re fun! Having a baby is a pretty amazing experience and we’re here to help you celebrate this new phase of life.

Meet Our Staff:
Lisa, Co-Owner & Deal Sleuth
Lisa hates writing bio blurbs but loves useful product features. Her thrill is finding great products that are actually affordable, because having a baby can be so expensive. With her love of both modern design and financial spreadsheets, Lisa helps our ship stay on course and new moms keep their sense of style, no matter the budget.
Lisa has just become a parent for the first time this fall (yay for Oscar!!) so she’s in the midst of testing all our products from a new perspective (the Nose Frida rocks!). Her experience being on both sides of the baby fence makes her a great resource for both nesting first time moms and those around them looking for the perfect baby present.
She’s back at work already so if you see her, try not to be disgusted that she’s back in her old clothes.
Nancy, Co-Owner & Baby Gear Addict
Nancy is here to help you figure out what you need, what you don’t, and how to have fun along the way.
Our resident toy and gear expert, she started researching baby products when she was 13 and hasn’t stopped since. She has a passion for strollers that verges on the obsessive and is currently in the midst of leaning everything there is to know about car booster seats.
The veteran mom of two crazy little ones, Nancy is the savvy author of our blog, facebook page, tweets, newsletters and any other form of communication that lets her celebrate a love of all things baby. Careful when you come in the store – she might try to kiss your little one!
Sandi:
Sandi was one of the first members to join our team (but we’re not supposed to call her an “old” girl). Although relatively new to the world of retail, she has lots of experience around little ones. She worked with young people in three different countries before coming back to Canada and joining the Fiddleheads team.
(She used to have a bit of a Scottish accent but it’s mostly faded now, although she does say things like “pram” instead of stroller sometimes.)
Sandi understands that being a parent is partly delightful and partly guerilla warfare and that being prepared is one of the best ways to survive.
