Question of the Day: Newborn Cold

Question of the day:

What products do you recommend when a newborn has a cold?

Nothing is sadder than a brand new baby who has a cold. They can't breastfeed because their nose is congested and you feel powerless to help.

Luckily, you're not the first to go through this. Here are our recommended products for how to make it through:1. NoseFrida Snotsucker, hands down! You can say it's a gross concept (it is) but nothing else works as well to get your little one breathing through their nose again.

2. A good humidifier, like the Crane Ultrasonic Humidifier. Moist air can make a huge difference in relieving congestion and make breathing easier (for all the members of your family). You don't have to spend a fortune to get something that works well though - the Crane series are top-rated, easy to use and super easy to clean. Because you have enough to worry about.

3. A natural decongestant, like Substance Baby's Own Chest Rub, has anti-inflammatory ingredients and are gentle for use specifically on baby. If they're having problems breastfeeding, you can even put it directly under their nose (but use sparingly).

Consider using a wrap or carrier (we love the Boba wrap!) so you can get things done and they can get unlimited snuggles!
